I am diverse in how I work, having studied a range of modalities with Notre Dame University, Perth, and through my own personal and professional development.
My experience includes counselling for two organisations contracted to a Government Agency with a diverse client base, presenting with issues that were multi-dimensional. These included relationship issues, addictions and substance abuse, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, post traumatic stress and mental health issues. My role often included supporting those dealing with associated barriers such as social isolation, difficulty in communication, general life skills and anger management.
I have worked successfully for Outcare Incorporated, a Non-Government Organisation in assisting men in prisons pre - and post - release, to reintegrate in the community.
I come from a strong background in Employment and Training, where I case-managed, ran groups and worked in career counselling for a wide range of clients experiencing difficulties, from those who had never worked, to professional people, and all those in-between. For many, where finding a job is problematic, there are often other issues at play that need addressing first.
I have counselled and co-run psycho-educational information in personal development and communication with groups, individuals and couples for Relationships Australia, and tutored Certificate Two in Behavioural Science for the Australian Institute of Holistic Medicine.
